Hi, I’m Dr. David Thode! As soon as I open my mouth, you’ll know I’m not from around here - I’m an Australian that has swapped the heat for the winters. I attended Sydney University in my hometown, first studying psychology and then completing my degree in dentistry. After practicing in one of the hottest places in the world (Mount Isa, Australia), I decided I should take on the other end of the spectrum and challenge the coldest of winters: Winnipeg, Manitoba. Three long years later, I realized the coast was calling me home, so I moved to Victoria and opened Cook Street Village Dental. I love dentistry and Victoria, so being able to do what you love, in a place you love, is a dream come true.

Our bright, state-of-the-art practice maintains a clean, up-to-date facility equipped with the latest tools, treatments, and technologies available in dental medicine. But don’t get us wrong — we certainly are not a flashy or ostentatious practice. This balance of a high-end facility with a down-to-earth feel is one of the reasons our patients feel comfortable receiving care at our office.
